Description:
The body of this insect is oblong or elongated subovate, flattened from top to bottom. The pronotum is approximately as long as it is broad, occasionally a bit shorter, and slightly narrowed towards the front. Its anterior margin is roughly twice as wide as the head. The abdominal parasternites are visible, not hidden by the ventral laterotergites. The head is noticeably narrower than the pronotum and is partially enclosed in the anterolateral pronotal angles. The scutellum is slightly longer than it is broad. The respiratory siphon is longer than the distance between the apex of the scutellum and the base of the wing membrane along the inner margin of the hemelytra (hemelytral commissure).
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
They hide between leaves or in the mud waiting for prey to come within reach of their raptorial fore legs.
