Classification:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Rotifera
Class: Eurotatoria
Order: Ploima
Family: Brachionidae
Description:
The organism features an oval lorica, which serves as a protective outer covering. Positioned at the anterior end are three pairs of spines: the central pair bends towards the ventral surface, the following pair slightly diverges, and the outer pair converges. A single red eye is present, alongside a central funnel-shaped mouth surrounded by rings of cilia. These cilia aid in directing food particles into the mouth and also contribute to locomotion. There exist two variations of this rotifer: one with a long spine at the posterior end and the other without. Neither variant possesses a foot.
