Description:
The shell is elongated and displays variability in both shape and sculpture, with the posterior margin gradually tapering. It is notably sculptured at the umbonal region, featuring zigzag ribs that extend to the upper half of the valve. The posterior umbonal carina is distinct. The coloration is dark brown. On average, the valve measures approximately 47 mm in length, 23 mm in height, and 18 mm in thickness.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in aquatic habitat viz lakes, rivers and streams. Abundant in Comilla, Habiganj, Mauleviater and Sylhet Districts.
