Description:
The dorsal and lateral margins of valvulae 1 in the female genitalia are distinctly toothed, as are the lateral margins of valvulae 2. In males, the parameres are twisted, contoured, elongated, and either symmetrical or exhibit minimal asymmetry. The posterodorsal margin of the mesofemur is flattened and adorned with a dense brush-like line of hairs.

Occurs in ponds, lakes and canals amongst dense vegetation.
