Description:
The head is as long as it is broad with an obtusely pointed snout. The dorsal surface is brown with irregularly arranged black spots, while the dorsolateral surface is blackish with additional spots. The limbs feature blackish cross bands. The ventral surface is white, either spotted or marbled with black or brown. The skin is strongly granulated; however, the throat, chest, belly, thigh, and tibia are smooth. The fingers are long and free, with the first finger longer than the second. The toes are moderately webbed, and both the finger and toe tips are dilated into pear-shaped discs.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits freshwater wetlands, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is distributed widely throughout Bangladesh.
