Description:
The male dragonfly has a bright golden ochreous face, with reddish-brown eyes above and yellowish laterally and below. Its thorax is rich olivaceous with golden reddish-brown hues, while the legs are ochreous. The wings are transparent, tinged with a uniform burnt brown color, with the hind wing featuring a broad dark reddish-brown wavy mark along the posterior border. Wing spots are rusty brown above and bright ochreous beneath. The abdomen transitions from olivaceous to reddish or ochreous towards the end, with finely bordered black segments. Segments 4-9 have dorsal black wedge-shaped spots, and the 10th segment is black. The female dragonfly resembles the male but has a stouter abdomen. Both males and females have wing spots that are rusty brown above and similar eye coloration, with the female having a stouter abdomen compared to the male.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in marshes, and weedy ponds. Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong, Khulna

They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
