Description:
Larvae exhibit sclerites on the pro-, meso-, and metanota. The mesonotum is entirely covered by two sclerites, separated by an unbranched longitudinal suture. In Hydatophylax sp., the metanotum has only five sclerites. There is a prosternal horn present. The antennae are positioned midway between the eye and the anterior margin of the head. Additionally, fleshy protuberances are found laterally and dorsally on the first abdominal segment.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It lives in a mountain stream during its larval stage. It lives inside by tying fallen leaves and sand together like a pipe.

Comments:
They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
