It has a triangular head and pointed snout. The skin is smooth, ranging from green to olive-brown on the back, with irregular black blotches and numerous interrupted folds and warts. A strong supratympanic fold extends from the eye to the shoulder. The nostrils are closer to the tip of the snout than to the eyes. The forelimbs are short, with free, short fingers, and the first finger is longer than the second. The toes are fully webbed. A distinctive feature of this species is the large, shovel-shaped inner metatarsal tubercle, while the outer metatarsal tubercle is absent.
