Hirschmanniella gracilis has an elongated, cylindrical body with a conical posterior end, not filiform. The oesophagus overlaps the intestine, with a prominent and spherical median bulb. Females are slightly curved ventrally, with a lateral field featuring four incisures. The lip region has 3-5 annules, and the cuticle is marked with transverse striae. Both males and females share similar morphological features except for the reproductive system and tail shape. The spear is stout, with rounded basal knobs. The ovary is amphidelphic and outstretched, while the spermatheca is well-developed and filled with sperm. In males, the testis is outstretched, and the spicula measure about 35 µm in length. The gubernaculum is 10-14 µm long, and the bursa is subterminal.
