Description:
Haemadipsa zeylanica is small bodied animal with a spotted olive-green color. It has a small sucker at the anterior (mouth) end and a larger one at the posterior end of its cylindrical or slightly flattened body. The body features a median dorsal black or dark stripe and marginal pale yellow stripes. It has five pairs of eyes, with the third and fourth pairs on continuous annuli. The suckers are prehensile, and papillae are well-developed. Nephridiopores open dorsally. This species is hermaphroditic.

Commonly found in the fish pond, rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh
