Description:
Haemadipsa sylvestris having a sub-cylindrical body, convex dorsal side, and flattened ventral side. It is light black or brownish in color with a pale middorsal area featuring three black stripes. The anterior sucker is spoon-shaped. It has five pairs of fairly large eyes, with the third and fourth pairs separated by a complete annulus. The suckers are prehensile, and the buccal ring is bordered by a thin membranous fold. It has three prominent jaws without papillae.

Commonly found in the fish pond, rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh
