Description:
The body is cylindrical and encased in a rigid coat. Both the anterior and posterior ends of the body are needle-narrow. This coat comprises thick elastin proteins. Beneath it lie four layers of glands. The mouth opening at the front is encircled and defined by a lip. Additionally, two unicellular glands, known as phasmid glands, may or may not be found at the organism’s periphery. At the posterior end of the body, there is a narrow tail.

Commonly found in the fish pond, rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh
