Description:
Fin formula: D. 1/6; P1. 1/9; P2.1/5; A. 1/11. It has elongated body with almost flat ventral profile below head. Eye and mouth small. Eyes are sub-cutaneous. Upper jaw larger than lower jaw. Barbels are 4 pairs in total, maxillary pair larger than others. Dorsal spine is smooth. Pectoral fins with strong spines. Caudal fin is forked. Body color brownish or reddish with black markings. Fins yellowish with black marks.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in streams of northern districts.
