Description:
The upper part of the body is glossy black, while the abdomen is silvery white, with black abdominal spiracles. The head exhibits a central longitudinal line and two lateral yellowish lines that encircle the eyes. The rostrum is four-jointed, and its apex is black. The antennae consist of four segments. The pronotum is shield-shaped, conically protruding posteriorly with tubercles. At the anterior end, there are two small longitudinal ochraceous spots. The hemelytra (forewings) are piceous, with black veins. The legs are ochraceous in color.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Live on the surface of ponds, slow streams, marshes and other quiet waters. Found in Dhaka.

Comments:
They are semi aquatic. Larvae are hatched in water. But they fly away when they got matured.
