Description:
Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6. Mouth is located at the front of the head. Snout is bluntly rounded in lateral profile without notch anteriorly. Upper jaw has no teeth; lower jaw with single row of teeth. Anal fin with 4-5 simple rays, 12-14 branched rays and posterior 2 rays very close together.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Available in old Brahmaputra river near Mymensingh and Meghna river near Chandpur.
