Description:
Frontonia species exhibit a length range spanning from 50 to 600 micrometers. Their cell bodies are commonly oval or elongated, with a slight flattening from back to front. They are flexible, possessing uniform ciliation, and often surrounded by trichocysts. The oral aperture is typically small and pear-shaped, situated in the anterior portion of the cell.
