Description:
The organism’s body resembles a sac and lacks a protective lorica. At the anterior end, there is a single spine located terminally, and two red eye spots are present. The setae on its body can be either smooth or adorned with tiny bristles. Within the mastax, the unci contain numerous teeth. Additionally, two appendages near the head are attached to the body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
