Scientific Name: Filinia saltator (Gosse, 1886)
Classification:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Rotifera
Class: Eurotatoria
Order: Flosculariaceae
Family: Trochosphaeridae
Description:
The organism’s body appeared somewhat contracted, measuring around 90 µm in length. A clearly visible posterior seta was observed, situated on the ventral side of the body and extending to a length around 40 µm. Furthermore, there are two anterior setae with a significant length about 110 µm each. It is probable that these anterior setae were approximately equal in length to the body when the organism was alive.
