Description:
This organism possesses an elongated, cylindrical body consisting of three main sections: the head, trunk (body), and foot, with no distinct segmentation. The body is enveloped by a cuticle that is secreted by the syncytial hypodermis. Located in the head region is a corona adorned with cilia, serving as the entrance to the buccal cavity. Within the trunk of the rotifer, various internal structures are found, including a mastax, esophagus, stomach, intestine, anus, and vitellarium, responsible for producing a yolk substance utilized in egg production.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in rivers in Bangladesh, such as the Halda River.
