Description:
The body of the snake is moderately stout, thick, and robust, covered with smooth scales. Its dorsal side exhibits a pale brown, olive mud green, or whitish coloration, adorned with broad and closely spaced asymmetrical marks of dark brown or dark olive mud green, outlined by black. The head is small, scarcely broader than the neck, with a rounded snout. The belly appears yellowish and is heavily marked with dark brown or blackish patches extending from the neck to the tail.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It iinhabits freshwater environments such as wetlands canals and ponds and commonly found in the northeast and southeast regions of Bangladesh.
