It is a small to medium-sized frog characterized by its robust and slightly elongated body. The head is broader than long, with a rounded snout that projects slightly beyond the lower jaw. The dorsal surface is generally smooth with some granules and features a brownish or greyish color with dark spots. The ventral surface is white or cream. The limbs are moderately long and robust, with the fingers free of webbing and ending in rounded tips. The toes are partially webbed, facilitating swimming.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits forest floors, freshwater wetlands, ponds, paddy fields, ditches, canals etc. It is found in the southeast and southwest regions in Bangladesh
