Description:
It is a medium-sized frog with a flat head and an obtuse snout. The back is grass green or olive-black, often featuring a yellow or pale vertebral stripe that extends from the snout to the vent. The belly is whitish, and the small mouth has five rows of teeth. The skin is smooth, with distinct rows of pores along the neck, sides, and ventral surface of the body. The eyes are positioned closer to the top of the head, and the tympanum is large and distinct, almost as large as the eye. A glandular fold extends from the eye to the shoulder. The forelimbs are slender, and the fingers are pointed and fully webbed.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits various freshwater bodies, such as ponds, ditches, canals etc.In Bangladesh, it is found in the western parts of the Padma River as well as in the Barisal and Khulna regions.
