Description:
Spines are prevalent along the outer edge of the caudal branch. The length of the tail branch is less than 5 times its width. The fifth leg features a noticeable segment adorned with 3 terminal spines or bristles. There are 12 segments on the antennae, with a relatively lengthy caudal branch. The last three antennal segments possess finely serrated hyaline membranes. Females exhibit rows of small spines along the outer edge.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
