Description:
The body is flat, leaf-shaped, and pointed at the posterior end. The sucker is subterminal, nearly round. A rounded acetabulum is situated ventrally at the anterior third of the body. The mouth is subterminal, with a small prepharynx and a small, rounded pharynx. The esophagus is slender and small, dividing into two intestinal caeca that extend to the posterior extremity of the body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It usually infests in the intestine of the freshwater fishes. In Bangladesh, it has been reported from Dhaka and Sylhet.
