Description:
The organisms display an elongated bell-like shape, with contracted individuals showing distinct characteristics at the posterior end. Their pellicle is slightly annulated. The macronucleus is positioned transversely to longitudinally along the anterior part of the cell and exhibits dichotomous branching. Individuals typically measure between 70 and 160 micrometers in length, while colonies can reach lengths of up to 3 millimeters.
