The organism has a short, sack-like body that is very stout, with its greatest width nearly two-thirds of its length. The integument is extremely soft and flexible, yet the body maintains a relatively constant outline. The entire body is highly translucent. The head is short and wide, separated from the abdomen by a distinct constriction or neck immediately behind the mastax.
This species is commonly found alongside Epiphanes clavulata, although they are not always found together.
