Description:
The fish has a silvery body with a naked head, featuring a nuchal spine. The mouth is protracted and points upward, with the tip of the maxilla reaching to about the level of the lower margin of the eye. The lateral line terminates around the middle of the soft dorsal fin.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in estuaries and the Bay of Bengal.
