Description:
This worm is small and elongated. Its anchors are large and well-developed, with a short outer root and a very short recurved point on the inner root. The dorsal bar is saddle-shaped, while the ventral bar is thin and V-shaped. A wing is observed at the outer root portion. There are two needles present. The copulatory tube is short, thin, and curved.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite specific to the Thai silver barb, achieving sexual maturity within the gill filaments of its host fish.It is commonly found in freshwater fishes of Bangladesh.
