Description:
It is a small worm with an elongated body. The pharynx is nearly rounded and located behind the eyespots. The opisthaptor has one dorsal bar and one ventral bar. There is a pair of well-developed, recurved pointed median hooks (anchors). The longest marginal hooks are notably longer than the anchors. There are three types of marginal hooks, totaling 7 pairs, positioned between the handle and pivot.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite of Chinese carps. It is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
