It is a small, elongated worm which is dorso-ventrally flattened, semi-transparent, and whitish in color. Its body comprises an anterior elliptical part and a posterior discoidal haptor. The opisthaptor is distinguished from the rest of the body by a slight constriction. The maximum width of the body is found in the middle. The haptoral disc is equipped with one pair of large anchors, seven pairs of marginal hooks, and one pair of anchor bars. The slender, long anchors are centrally located on the haptor. Each anchor is characterized by a base with two distinct roots and a curved shaft that terminates in a pointed direction on the same side.
