It is a whitish, small, elongated worm, dorsoventrally flattened and semitransparent. The body has two distinct regions: an anterior elliptical part and a posterior discoidal haptor. The haptor disc is equipped with one pair of anchors, seven pairs of marginal hooks, and two anchor bars. The slender, long anchors are centrally located on the haptor. Each anchor consists of a base with two distinct roots and a curved shaft ending in a point.
