Their shell color is blackish-brown to olive-brown. The head is blackish olive, featuring three yellow stripes on the side. Females are slightly larger than males. The carapace is smooth.The male can be recognized by the slightly concave shape of its plastron and mature female has flat plastron.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is commonly found in various freshwater environments, including stagnant and gently flowing water bodies like rivers, lakes, ponds, and mangrove swamps. It occurs in Chittagong region (Cox’s Bazar, and Kaptai Lake area) of Bangladesh
Environment:
Freshwater, brackish.
