Description:
This perennial herb creeps along the ground and produces alternate leaves, often with reddish hairs towards the tips. Its tiny flowers have relatively large lilac to blue petals and bloom from spring to fall. The plant also produces small white underground flowers on burrowing rhizomes.

This plant typically grows in shady and damp environments such as riverbanks, beels, jheels, ditches, and ponds throughout Bangladesh.
