Description:
The length of the organism is 31mm. The face and eyes exhibit a vibrant green color on the underside. Thin antehumeral stripes are present on the dorsal side of the thorax, and there is a notable Coenagrion spur. In males, the coloration consists of blue and black hues. A “spades” symbol may be observed at the top of the abdomen, although its appearance can vary. Segments 8 and 9, located near the bottom of the abdomen, are entirely blue, except for two small black spots. Females display a distinct green coloration when viewed from the side, while appearing predominantly black when viewed from above.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
They are commonly found around ponds and lakesides during the summer.
