The exuvia of the pupa, measured 4mm in length and 1.1mm in width. It displayed a cephalothorax along with what appeared to be 7 abdominal segments, although this count might be inaccurate. Prior to sustaining minor damage, two spots resembling eye spots were visible on the head portion of the exuvia. Additionally, the exuvia featured two antennae. At the anterior end, lanceolate respiratory trumpets were observed, accompanied by circular breathing openings with hairs at their base. Although the link provided suggests the presence of emerging adult wings on the thoracic segments, I could not verify this as the fly had already emerged when discovered. Rectangular abdominal segments were noted, each with two lateral and two caudal processes visible on the ventral side. However, the last segment appeared to lack the lateral processes.
