Description:
It has an elongated and flattened body, typically yellowish or pale in color. It possesses a prominent sub-terminal oral sucker and a smaller ventral sucker (acetabulum) located anteriorly. The digestive system includes a well-developed pharynx and a bifurcated intestine.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It inhabits the skin, fins and gills of the freshwater fishes. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
