Description:
This fish has a plain greyish body. Its dorsal fin has no stiff spines, but it does have 12 to 15 softer rays for support. It has 39 bones (vertebrae) running along its body.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Inhabit fast flowing streams and rivers. Can tolerate high levels of salinity.
