Description:
The body is elongated, with two pairs of eyespots spaced about equally apart; the posterior pair is slightly larger than the anterior pair. The pharynx is well-developed, but the head organs are weakly marked. There are four anchors, with the dorsal anchor being slightly longer than the shaft; the blade is arched and bends in the distal half.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate ectoparasite of tilapia that matures in the gill filaments of the host and is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
