Description:
The body is relatively elongated. There are two small, inconsistent anterior eyespots, with the posterior two being slightly larger. The pharynx and head organ are well-defined. There are two pairs of anchors that are nearly the same size and similarly pointed. Six pairs of marginal hooks have a slight distinction between the handle and pivot, being more or less the same size but slightly different in shape.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite of tilapia that matures in the gill filaments of the host and is widely distributed in Bangladesh.
