Description:
The valves are circular and have a yellowish hue, featuring clearly defined polygonal surface patterns. The back-upper corner stands out, while the lower-back corner is rounded. The rostrum is elongated and pointed, accompanied by a narrow labral plate and a rounded front edge. The antennules are short and brick-shaped, not extending to the middle of the rostrum. The top edge is straight with 7-9 small teeth, and the curved claw possesses two basal spines. Numerous sets of setules are arranged along the lateral surface.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh.
