Description:
Chlamydomonas acidophila is a unicellular green algae adapted to acidic environments. It has a single, cup-shaped chloroplast containing chlorophyll a and b, and typically two flagella for movement. Found in acidic lakes, bogs, and peatlands, it contributes to primary production through photosynthesis despite low pH conditions.
