Description:
Body is almost cylindrical anteriorly, laterally compressed posteriorly. Large plate like scales are present on head. Dark brown above, brown below. Color of dorsal, caudal and anal fins are dark and edge red. Scales are spotted. Spots most numerous along the upper half of the body, become less on the lower half and belly spotless.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Found in the beels and haors of greater Sylhet and Mymensingh districts.
