Description:
Ceriodaphnia is enclosed within a rigid, spherical shell known as a carapace. It distinguishes itself from other cladocerans through the absence of a rostrum and tail spine. Additionally, Ceriodaphnia exhibits a prominent cervical sinus, which is an indentation located on the dorsal side of the body.
