Description:
The rostrum of this species does not reach the distant end of the antennular peduncle, having a horizontal dorsal margin that turns upward at the tip. It is armed with up to 12-20 teeth, not extending to the extreme apex but reaching along the dorsal margin of the carapace. The ventral margin of the rostrum has 4-5 teeth. The suborbital angle is fused with antennal spines, and the pterygostomian margin bears a spinule. Well-developed eyes are present. The dorsal surface of the telson features 3 pairs of spines, with the tip being convex and armed with 10 spines. The antennular peduncle is not slender, and the stylocerite reaches two-thirds of the basal segment of the antennular peduncle. The basal segment is more than half the length of the peduncle, with a distinct anterolateral angle. The scaphocerite is narrow and lacks a distinct transverse suture. The mandible lacks a palp, with eleven small and large teeth at the extremity of the incisor process. Numerous setae are present between the molar and incisor processes. The first pereiopod is shorter and stouter than the second, featuring various types of setae apically. The dactyli of the third pereiopods terminate in double spines, with about 5 accessory spines that increase in length distally. In terms of coloration, the body is transparent with grey-brown dorsal stripes and red chromatophores. The pereiopods are blackish-brown with light spots. The maximum total length is about 50 mm, typically ranging between 15 and 20 mm.
