Description:
The lorica of the organism varies from subcircular to moderately oval in shape. Its size typically falls within the range of 180 to 570 µm, with a width ranging from 124 to 300 µm. On the anterior dorsal side, there are six spines present. These anterior spines are stout and straight. The lorica comprises dorsal, ventral, and basal plates. Additionally, there is a possibility of the presence of posterior spines.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Commonly found in the rivers, lakes, haors, and other fresh waterbodies of Bangladesh, such as the Halda River.
