Description:
The body is elongated and flattened, conical at both ends. The scolex is unspecialized and not clearly distinct from the neck. Outer and inner longitudinal muscles are composed of small fascicles. Testes are ovoid to spherical, extending from just behind the anterior-most vitellarium to the vas deferens near the cirrus pouch. External and internal seminal vesicles are absent. The cirrus pouch is ovoid and located anterior to the ovary. The ovary is typically H-shaped and follicular.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an intestinal parasite of freshwater clariid fishes, attaching to the mucosa and serosal layers of the intestine of the host. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
