Description:
The body is slender, elongated, and flattened, with the posterior end broader than the anterior. The body is divided into an outer cortex and an inner medulla by two layers of longitudinal muscles. The scolex is smooth, undifferentiated, and unarmed, with a bluntly rounded extremity, followed by a long, narrow neck.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It is an obligate parasite residing in the intestine of catfish such as Clarias batrachus. It is found throughout Bangladesh.
