Description:
Great egrets measure less than 1 meter from bill to tail, stand 1 meter tall, have a wingspan of 1.5 meters, and weigh between 912 and 1140 grams. Males are generally larger than females. These birds are entirely white, featuring a long yellow bill and dark gray legs. In flight, their necks typically form an “S” shaped curve. They are very elegant, with plumage that resembles lace.
