Description:
Aracella species possess shells that are generally umbrella-shaped, featuring a centrally invaginated aperture from which lobopodia, finger-like pseudopodia, extend. When viewed from above, the shell can vary in shape from circular or broad elliptical to an irregular square. In lateral view, the test ranges from flattened discoid to spherical.
