Description:
The Greylag Goose has grayish-brown plumage with pale feather edges on its upper parts and a white belly. The lower breast is grayish, and this coloration extends to the neck and head. It has a large, orange bill and flesh-colored legs and feet, which may show spotting and blotching in most adults. Juvenile birds lack this spotting and have grayish legs. On average, adult Greylag Geese measure about 80 cm (31 inches) in length, with a wingspan of 76 to 89 cm. Their body mass ranges from 2500 to 4100 grams, with males averaging 36 grams (1.3 oz) heavier than females, who average 32 grams (1 oz).
